Minister of Defense Olta Xhacka had an official 2 day visit in Israel. This has been the first visit of an Albanian Minister of Defense to Israel.
Minister Xhacka was welcomed in an official ceremony by Israeli Minister of Defense Avigdor Liberman. Xhacka praised the Albanian-Israeli relation as special with Minister Libermann praising the role of Albania in securing peace and safety in Western Balkan region, noting that the two countries share same values as strategic allies for region safety. Xhacka invited her Israeli homologue for cooperation between institutions of Defense. The two high officials discussed on cybernetic security, military industry and a project of exchanging models and curricula in the field military education and treatment.
Minister of Defense also met officials of International Defense Cooperation Directorate of the Israel Ministry of Defense (SIBAT). In Jerusalem, Minister Xhacka had several meetings with National Security Council and paid homage to Yad Vashem Memorial for Holocaust victims.
