Bushati in Israel: Fight against Terrorism Will Not Be Easy

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, is in Israel in the framework of the ‘International Conference on Fight against Terrorism’ organized by the International Institute for Combating Terrorism (ICT).
During his visit, he had a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister at the same time Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Minister of Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi, Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni, Leaders of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and the World Jewish Congress ( WJC) Robert Singer.
Bushati declared the commitment and contribution of our country in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, emphasizing the important role of new initiatives related to education, religious harmony, respect for minority’s human rights, and in drafting and implementation of special strategic, social, political, legal, educational and economic policies.
“The fight against terrorism is not and will not be easy, but there is no other alternative and should not be discouraged. Just as terrorist networks are transnational, so should our collaboration be,” stated Bushati.
He added that we must do all the necessary work in order to break the bond between radicalization and terrorism.
