The 26thInternational Mediterranean Tourism Market Fair took place in Tel Aviv in 11-13 February 2019. IMTM is the largest annual professional tourism fair of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean and like other international tourism fairs, it serves to promote incoming tourism, domestic tourism and outgoing tourism, as well as to strengthen cooperation among tourism bodies in Israel and elsewhere in the world.
ITMT 2019 participants from Albania were: Albanian National Tourism Agency, Tours Albania and Balkans, Alba Trip, Xplore Albania, Albanian Explorer, TAB-Tours Albania and Balkans, Globus Travel, Balkan Pearls. Travel and Tours companies and their representatives were keen to promote Albania as a tourist destination in the region, Europe and worldwide, using different channels of communications such as travel fairs, n- line promotion, B2B incentives and so on.
At IMTM, Albanian Tour Companies were offered the perfect opportunity to experience Israel “in the flesh” while meeting with local colleagues, travel executives and decision makers interested in catching up on the latest trends in the Israeli and regional incoming, domestic and outbound travel markets.
Through contacts with tourism professionals and opportunities to meet with colleagues, buyers and suppliers, these companies promoted the Albanian Eco-tourism, wellness or cultural tourism, beach holidays or city breaks, package deals or tailor-made trips… All these options were seen on-site, and were discussed during the conferences, events and presentations that were held in conjunction with the exhibition.
Representatives of about 40 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, including: US, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Russia, Romania, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Georgia, Portugal, India, France, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Japan, Morocco and many others.
The international tourism exhibition has gained momentum in recent years, and has become the flagship event of the incoming and outgoing tourism industry in Israel.
Albanian Embassy to Israel wishes success to our Tour Operators participated in this international Market, bringing Albania even closer to Israeli audience.
