Israeli experts continue inspections in Durres, where an Israeli reconstruction methodology is being presented by their military team, following the devastating earthquake that hit Albania.
According to them, in the construction of walls it is important to place bricks with holes vertically, not horizontally, in order to fill them with mortar and to withstand seismic shocks.
“When we say there is security, there is security; if I say we will build we will build; when the walls are too damaged, we will demolish them.
Some of the damage is repairable. The wall can be strengthened, even if there are collisions; it’s a challenge but it is being carried out,” said Colonel Golan Vach.
