Shalom everyone from Tirana, Albania!
Dear friends of Jerusalem, from Knesset and from around the world!
I would like to thank all the participants who are gathered in Jerusalem in person and all those who have joined online!
I also would like to thank the organizers of the event as well as those who have supported it over the years.
I understand that the theme of this year’s event is political stability in your nation.
We continue to hope and pray for political stability amid several elections that have been held recently.
We know that this is a very difficult time for all of you at this moment.
We are grateful to see a return to a more peaceful period for your nation and your neighbors.
We pray for everlasting peace in Jerusalem, and the entire region. We lift our prayers to the Lord that all countries may dwell in peace and coexistence.
As Albanians, we identify with your struggles for freedom and peace throughout the centuries and the continued suffering in the process.
Albanians are proud to have stood by the Jewish people during the darkest days of the World War II, sacrificing their lives to protect the Jewish families who were sheltered in our country.
Not a single Jewish person was handed over to the Nazis, and not e single Jewish life was lost in Albania during those terrible times.
Today, I express our continuing support for you, and pray that the Lord will bring Peace / Shalom not only to your land, your neighbors and the region, but to every country that is suffering from conflicts.
The book of Psalms describes how special Jerusalem is and how important prayer is to the preservation of peace:
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May those who love you prosper! May there be peace within your walls, and prosperity inside your fortresses.
May God bless Israel, Albania and all the nations on earth!
And may He bring peace and prosperity to the city of Jerusalem and to all the cities where you live.
Shalom my friends!
