Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati, met on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign affairs at the same time, Benjamin Netanyahu
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati, met on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign affairs at the same time, Benjamin Netanyahu.
During this meeting the interlocutors focused on important issues of bilateral cooperation, developments in the field of security in the Middle East and in the Balkan region, the fight against terrorism and violent extremism, economic development and cyber defense.
Minister Bushati talked about developments in the region and the role of Albania as a factor of stability.
While, PM Netanyahu praised Albania’s role for security challenges in the region and beyond, as well as expressed Israel’s interest in further strengthening cooperation in this area.
Bushati and Netanyahu also discussed the possibility of cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as innovation, economy, education, culture, etc.
During his visit to Israel, Minister Bushati will hold several bilateral meetings, including Minister of Defense Avigdor Lieberman, Minister for Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi, Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni, Leaders of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and Congress World of Jews (WJC) Robert Singer.
