The President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta received this Friday the new Ambassador of the State of Israel to Albania, Noah Gal Gendler, who presented his Credential Letters.
During the reception, President Meta congratulated Ambassador Gedler for taking office and conveyed greetings and thanks to President Reuven Rivlin and the Israeli authorities for the appointment in Tirana of a diplomat with experience and outstanding contribution in this field.
Furthermore, President of the Republic assured Ambassador Gedler of close cooperation in order to further strengthen the friendly and historic relations between Israel and Albania.
Nevertheless, appreciating the very good relations between the two countries, as well as the positive trend of economic cooperation, Head of State emphasized that there is still potential to further grow economic-trade relations.
Meanwhile, President of Albania confirmed participation in the World Conference on the Holocaust, after having been invited by Israeli President, Reuven Rivlin, which is to be held in January 2020 in Jerusalem, .
“Israel can serve as an excellent example of how a small nation that faces many challenges can develop its country based on human and intellectual capacity. I am proud of Albanians’ contribution to the rescue of hebrews during World War II”, said the President.
